Description: Course combines learning about plant biology with the practice of teaching plant science in the classroom and beyond. Students will master basic plant biology concepts for use in developing educational lesson plans and integrating the plans into science curricula. While the course is geared towards science educators, the content will also greatly benefit agribusiness and horticultural professionals who want to improve their skills in presenting and explaining basic plant science concepts.

Requirements: Internet access and e-mail
Prerequisites: Individuals taking the course for undergraduate academic credit must be admitted to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and have completed a minimum of three hours of biological sciences courses. Graduate students must be admitted to UNL's Graduate School and have completed a minimum of 12 hours of plant science courses.
